Tears of indignation came to Lucy's eyes---partly because Miss Lavish had jilted her, partly because she had taken her Baedeker.
Now she entered the church depressed and humiliated, not even able to remember whether it was built by the Franciscans or the Dominicans.
Then the pernicious charm of Italy worked on her, and, instead of acquiring information, she began to be happy.

Evening approached while they chattered; the air became brighter; the colors on the trees and hills were purified, and the Arno lost its muddy solidity and began to twinkle.
“ I think I shall go out,” said Lucy. “I want to go round the town in the circular tram---on the platform by the driver.”

Lucy does not stand for the medieval lady, who was rather an ideal to which she was bidden to lift her eyes when feeling serious. This afternoon she was peculiarly restive. “Well, thank you so much,” Lucy repeated. “How quickly these accidents do happen, and then one returns to the old life!” Leaning her elbows on the parapet, she contemplated the River Arno, whose roar was suggesting some unexpected melody to her ears.

先生 went to Akita Prefecture with his friend and has bookended the GW. He brought a souvenir of いぶりがっこ( pickled Japanese radish ),whose slice were made as a topping of cream crackers by himself. ごちそうさまでした。 It was delicious.!
From the text of Steve Jobs, the word “adoption” was a topic. There are many cases of adoption around him in the U.S. It is not unnatural to him. Though the U.S. and Japan have each different history, there are the same troubles of domestic violence nowadays , maybe because there is a UBI ( Universal Basic Income ) issue behind them.
Adoption may be one solution to them, partly because the parents cannot raise their children.
Text What Jobs Says: my third story is about death.
I was diagnosed with cancer about 50 , but after that I had the surgery and I’m fine now. Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything---all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure---these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.
